Is physical therapy in the standard package of the new
care insurance?
To a limited extent.
Insured people up to 18 years are entitled to (compensation of)
nine fysiotherapie - or oefentherapiebehandelingen (Mensendieck or
Cesar). If that treatment does not have the desired result, also
the following nine treatments is compensated for. Insured people
up to 18 years with a chronic disorder get continuation treatment
after this treatment also still compensated for.
What under a ' chronic disorder ' is understood, is on the list
with disorders that find state in the appendix of the decision care
insurance. On that list stands also mentioned at which disorders
a maximum period of treatment applies and which period that then is.
Insured people of 18 years and older are entitled only to
(compensation of) fysiotherapie - or oefentherapiebehandelingen if
there is talk of a chronic disorder that state on the said list.
The first nine treatments at such a chronic disorder is not
compensated for. At other disorders exists in the whole no right
to (compensation of) fysiotherapie or oefentherapie.
